KeaVolume Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

In short: KeaVolume does not collect, store or share any personal data. It has no internet access, and your audio never leaves your Mac.

Who we are

KeaVolume is made by Kymelon, a trading name of A2Z IT Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 16306508. Our registered office is 115 Stanley Road North, Rainham, England, RM13 8BA. If you have any questions about this policy, email support@kymelon.com.

What KeaVolume does

KeaVolume is a menu bar app for Mac that controls the volume of speakers macOS can't control itself, such as speakers connected to a monitor.

Data we collect

None. KeaVolume has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash reporting. The app cannot connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything to us or to anyone else.

Your audio

To change the volume, KeaVolume uses the macOS System Audio Recording permission. It takes the sound going to your selected speakers, changes its level and plays it straight back to the same speakers, in real time. Your audio is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere. macOS calls this permission "recording", but KeaVolume does not record.

Your keyboard

KeaVolume uses the macOS Accessibility permission (called Device Control and Data Access on newer versions of macOS) only so the volume up, volume down and mute keys can control your speakers. It does not read, store or send any other keys you press.

Settings stored on your Mac

KeaVolume saves a few settings on your Mac so it works the way you left it, for example the volume and mute setting for each speaker and whether you have seen the welcome screen. These stay on your Mac. They are deleted if you delete the app and its settings.

Purchases

The free trial and the unlock are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple's handling of your data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children

KeaVolume collects no data from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you contact us by email, we use your email only to reply to you and delete it when it is no longer needed. You have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
